Fluffy Bottoms Coop is offering a limited amount Silkie hens for sale and Roosters for Spring-Summer Delivery that are 8-12 weeks old when shipped to you.

3/1/26 UPDATE:  DUE TO EXTREME WINTER WEATHER, OUR HENS HAD A LATE START THIS SEASON AND WE ARE FINALLY JUST STARTING TO HATCH CHICKS. OUR FIRST ESTIMATED SHIP DATE IS NOW MAY 13TH FOR ORDERS PLACED FROM THIS LISTING (please e-mail us to see where you are on our list of orders, not all orders will ship on this date). READ BEFORE ORDERING

• Two minimum, juveniles need to go with a buddy for their well being.
• We do not start shipping until late March/April when temperatures are safe. We ship orders out in the order we receive them through September.
• You select color, feather type and gender (DNA-sexed for accuracy)
• Roughly 8-12 weeks old when shipped
• We offer a unique experience that allows you to see and choose your birds that we will send you. (This does not apply to Discounted pullets, these are considered mystery pullets chosen by us & could come with cosmetic faults like wrong combs, poor crests, weird toes etc
• You will be contacted via email with photos/videos of available Silkies that fit your order criteria so you can choose your favorites. Don’t see any you love? That’s okay, you will be moved to our next group of birds available to choose from.
•  We ship out orders in the order we receive them, April-September. We hope weather is safe to start shipping our first set of orders around the last week of April 2026 but we will not ship if it’s not safe for our birds. We are a small breeder, not a large hatchery, you agree to be patient due to delays when ordering our birds. Feel free to contact us before placing your order to ask ETA for the birds your planning on ordering.
• Pickup in Palo, Iowa or pay estimated shipping fees when we’re ready to ship in the spring. Estimated shipping fees range from $65-110 per box depending on how far from Iowa you are. 2 minimum per shipping box, 4 max. Larger orders of 4 or more birds could require shipping on different dates in order to fill your order due to us being a small breeder. Please contact us with your order details and zip code to receive a shipping estimate.
