Fluffy Bottom’s Coop is a Silkie breeder and this is an explanation of the colors we offer and the feather types possible for these colors. Please note, this is subject to change and more colors/feather types could be added in the future.

Colors we offer

Chocolate/Mottled: Chocolate Mottled and Chocolate in color. Majority of what we hatch will be mottled with only a few splits/solid chocolates per hatch. Most of our chicks will have silkie feathers but all feather types possible (silkie, silkie frizzle, satin & satin frizzle). Small chance of showgirls.
Black/Mottled: Black mottled and black in color. Majority of what we hatch will be mottled with only a few splits/solid blacks per hatch that can be hard to identify because some hatch with a decent amount of white one them. Most of our chicks will have silkie feathers but all feather types possible (silkie, silkie frizzle, satin & satin frizzle). Small chance of Showgirls.
Blue/Mottled (NEW BREEDING PEN): Blue mottled and blue in color. Majority of what we hatch will be mottled with only a few splits/solid blues per hatch that can be hard to identify because some hatch with a decent amount of white one them. Blue/Splash: (NEW BREEDING PEN) Blue (mottled possible)and Splash in color. Most of our chicks will have silkie feathers but all feather types possible (silkie, silkie frizzle, satin & satin frizzle). Small chance of Showgirls. These babies come from the same pen as our Mauve/Chocolate splash and some look very similar and mix ups can happen, so keep in mind when ordering from this color group that you could possibly end up a mauve/chocolate splash by accident.
Mauve/Chocolate Splash: (NEW BREEDING PEN) Mauve (mottled possible) and mauve/chocolate splash. Most of our chicks will have silkie feathers but all feather types possible (silkie, silkie frizzle, satin & satin frizzle). Small chance of Showgirls.
Blue Cream (NEW PEN): Silkie feather type only.
Mille/Calico: Mille genetics. Satin & Silkie feather types only. Splits/solids are possible.
Mauve/Mottled: Mauve and Mauve mottled in color. This is our original light mauve/mottled pen. Silkie feather types only.

New colors are in the works! If you order mystery chicks or hatching eggs, you may end up with some chicks from these project pens.

All of our birds are Silkies and the Silkies we breed that have satin or satin frizzle feather types are called “Satins.” Satins are later generation Silkies but with traditional feathers that show off those gorgeous patterns we breed for!
