Shipping & Pickup Information:
A look at a shipping box that is all ready to safely ship two juvenile pullets to their new homes. We always ship our juveniles with a water bottle & feed, extra feed/fruit cups are sent weather pending.
This is the same shipping box upon arrival. These pullets were shipped out of our Iowa post office on a Monday and arrived safely on Thursday.
Hatching eggs are a gamble. We are not responsible for:
Hatch rates
Fertility outcomes
Shipping delays
Damage during shipping
Lost or late packages
Fertility in our breeding pens is checked bi-weekly, but fertility is never guaranteed because there is no way to determine if the eggs we send you have been fertilized.
Pre-orders have no timeline on when we will send them, we ship eggs when we have extras. you agree to be patient.
You may hatch chicks from every egg, some eggs, or none at all.
Eggs are shipped via USPS Priority Mail, which typically takes 4–5 days to arrive if there are no delays. We might be switching to UPS 2 day delivery. Boxes are clearly labeled to be held at your local post office with your phone number for them to call you for pickup. You are responsible for providing the correct phone number when placing your order. We are unsure how UPS handles pickup at post office requests, we have no control over this and your box may be delivered instead of held for pickup.
Our breeding pens are considered project pens. Do not purchase our hatching eggs if you are expecting:
Guaranteed solid black skin
A 100% chance of five toes
Perfect combs
Perfect crests
Strict SOP (Standard of Perfection) colors only
Project pens may produce unexpected or surprise colors and patterns. If you only want certain colors, we strongly encourage your to order chicks or juveniles instead.
Colors and patterns will vary between offspring.
Some breeding pens include splits, meaning offspring may have a 50% chance of being solid colors.
We intentionally keep splits in certain pens to increase black skin quality, which is a primary focus going into the 2026 season.
All feather types are possible, including Showgirls.
